Somatic Experiencing Personal Sessions
TM
(For your SEP credential)
OVERVIEW
Earning your SEP credential
TM

TWO REQUIREMENTS
As a very brief summary, to earn your Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) credential, Somatic Experiencing Institute (SEI) requires that students complete two types of learning:
TM
COURSE HOURS: You are required to complete the full curriculum of hours organized across three course levels (Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Levels). The curriculum includes both:
-
Classroom hours
-
Extracurricular "credit hours": working outside the classroom to complete various sessions
SE CREDIT HOURS: You are required to complete a specific number range of SE credit hours or "credits" (SE-oriented extra-curricular hours) across two categories: "Personal Sessions" and "Case Consultations".
CREDIT-HOUR PROCESS
To complete your credit hours, review and follow SEI's required protocol:
CHOOSE AN "APPROVED PROVIDER"
-
All of your credit-hours must be completed with a SEP who is formally an SEI "Approved Credit Provider".
-
I am approved to provide "Personal Sessions" for any of the 4 hours required for your Beginning Level.
-
Regarding timing: You are strongly encouraged to start your hours within the Beginning Level's first year, but later is accepted. Note that it may feel overwhelming if you wait until the final year to do them all in.
LOG YOUR COMPLETED HOURS: Access SEI's website to find the official forms that contain the full set of directions for completing and logging your credit hours to turn in to SEI.
-
In the "Session Log" section, you will find the forms for both your Personal Sessions and Case Consults on SEI's main Student Resource Page (or the main sign-in page: https://traumahealing.org/student-forms/).

Why choose me as
your SEP coach ?
TM
Choosing an SEP coach for your Personal Sessions/Beginning Credits offers a unique, powerful experience:
Receive a Complimentary Session Debrief
Up to 4 sessions include a free, extra 20-minute SE concept debrief if desired/helpful to you, where you can ask any questions you like about SE and/or your session!

Experience My Expanded Approach
As a SE professional certified coach, I intentionally expand the scope of the course’s “SIBAM” model beyond how a traditional therapist would use SE. I do this by using powerful, gentle questions that invite further introspection into other areas, such as identifying values, old and new beliefs, personal dreams and goals, your connection with your core Self (“Self” as defined within the Internal Family Systems perspective), and your Enneagram style, if you are familiar with your style. As a coach, I also offer an exploration of how you might take any new, desired action steps after your session, if helpful to you. Read more about my coaching approach HERE.
About mentoring
WHAT I LOVE

When my first mentor expressed really enjoying mentoring itself, I was grateful, but I didn't understand how it went beyond a just a job duty to perform. Until I became a mentor myself, then I got it: There's a deep joy that I immediately connect into when witnessing and guiding someone's learning and growth – particularly in an area of life I deeply care about. Among my most passionate areas in life is the art and science of being a professional coach and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner – as these are not only something I do, they are a way of life for me. So, that's why I'm already excited
to witness your further blossoming within our critical professions.

And, because
the world needs you.
WHAT CLIENTS Say !
SOME KIND WORDS
"I received Somatic Experiencing personal sessions from Jenna and I found all our sessions enlightening and restorative – both personally and as a SE student. The skill with which she led me through different practices was beautiful. She slowed down the impact phase of traumatic experiences, utilized resourcing, beautifully moved into what didn’t happen to create a perfect endings (repair)... All these and many other aspects of our sessions came together harmoniously like a Mozart masterpiece. The extra time we spent doing session debriefs was equally important and refreshing!"
