OVERVIEW
WHAT IS THE Enneagram ?
The Enneagram is a personality and self-development system that describes nine distinct patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. Identifying our pattern can help us understand the sense of identity we form, along with the deeper motivations, needs, fears, and habitual strategies that shape how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world around us.
Each Enneagram style has its own strengths, challenges, and ways of responding to life and its challenges. Unlike personality systems that focus on observable traits or behaviors, the Enneagram places particular emphasis on the underlying motivations that help explain why we tend to think, feel, and behave as we do.
The current day Enneagram draws from older philosophical and mathematical ideas and spiritual and contemplative traditions, some extending back centuries. It was first introduced to Western audiences in the early 1900s as a framework for human development and change. By the late 1960s, it was developed into a system for describing distinct personality styles and expanded in the 1990s into areas such as professional coaching, leadership, and organizational development.

How the Enneagram Guides Change
How It Works: Enneagram coaching uses your Enneagram style as a practical map for understanding the motivations, strengths, blind spots, and automatic patterns that shape how you approach communication, relationships, work, goals, and change. By increasing self-awareness of your automatic reactions and habits, you can recognize when familiar strengths are being overused and develop more effective ways of responding —better supporting your goals, relationships, well-being, and overall fulfillment.
How It Can Benefit You
-
Better understand what motivates you and what tends to pull you off course
-
Recognize the strengths, habits, and blind spots
-
Identify and let go of patterns that derail your communication, relationships and working style
-
Develop growth practices that fit your Enneagram style
-
Expand your range of responses in challenging situations
-
Make more intentional choices that support your goals
My Integrative Approach: When helpful, I can integrate Somatic Experiencing and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to deepen awareness of the emotions, sensations, and inner parts connected to your patterns — and help you better understand yourself and your responses. A trauma-informed coaching lens can be woven into our work as well.

Possibilities!
Coaching with Jenna has helped me see new possibilities for myself. Using the Enneagram and IFS helped me explore going outside my comfort zone to enjoy being more social, while also recognizing that it’s okay to recharge by myself when I need to. Her expertise in having hard conversations has also been very beneficial. I highly recommend her as a coach and trainer.

"I highly recommend Jenna as a coach. Jenna coached my husband and I to address work-life balance. She is extremely knowledgeable about personality testing and how one's personality style applies the obstacles in our work and family life. The Enneagram personality model taught us new strategies that are more effective for communicating with each other, with coworkers, and even with our kids. So much can improve with the use of this model."
