About  mentoring

WHAT I LOVE

WC-blob-plain-blue_edited_edited.jpg

When my first mentor expressed really enjoying mentoring itself, I was grateful, but I didn't understand how it went beyond a just a job duty to perform.  Until I became a mentor myself, then I got it:  There's a deep joy that I immediately connect into when witnessing and guiding someone's learning and growth particularly in an area of life I deeply care about.  Among my most passionate areas in life is the art and science of being a professional coach and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner as these are not only something I do, they are a way of life  for me.  So, that's why I'm already excited

to witness your further blossoming within our critical profession.

And, because

  the world needs you.

As a coach or somatic practitioner, mentoring sessions provide you the opportunity to deepen your professional skills through exploring your client cases and the inner experiences you have related to your client work.  The vast topics we can cover span across your "choice points" in a session, wondering how to best handle a specific topic or concrete challenge that arose, when to refer a client, how to have a difficult client conversation, and your own inner critic (or fixer, worrier, doubter, etc.) that takes you away from being and feeling your professional and personal best.

Our partnering in mentoring sessions gives you a broad array of opportunities to feel supported and grow as a coach/practitioner, such as:

TESTIMONIALS

Working with Jenna as my mentor coach was an incredibly powerful and meaningful experience, especially as I navigated recertifying my own ICF credentials.  Jenna embodies all the qualities of a truly exceptional coach, magnifying them with her powerful presence, and her ability to hold space for deep reflection.

★★★★★

"I received Somatic Experiencing personal sessions from Jenna and I found all our sessions enlightening and restorative – both personally and as a SE student. The skill with which she led me through different practices was beautiful. She slowed down the impact phase of traumatic experiences, utilized resourcing, beautifully moved into what didn’t happen to create a perfect ending (repair)... All these and many other aspects of our sessions came together harmoniously like a Mozart masterpiece.  The extra time we spent doing session debriefs was equally important and refreshing!"
